Internships

The Foundation for Aspiring Minority Accountants (FAMA) offers internships for minority students interested in becoming an accountant.

Contribute To A Team

Interns are integrated into Teams and assigned to authentic projects.

Prior Experience Not Required

Although prior experience can be valuable and may be preferred for some projects, it is not a requirement for FAMA internships.

Most Interns Receive A Stipend

The stipend award amount is based on student's academic level and the length of internship.

  • Are FAMA Internships Paid Internships?
    The majority of interns received a stipend award, but there are some volunteer opportunities noted in project descriptions.
  • When Do Internships Take Place?
    FAMA offers two opportunities for internships throughout the year. Fall: Late August/Early September to Mid-December, ~16 weeks Spring: Mid-January to Early May, ~16 weeks
  • What Types of Internships Are Available?
    Internship projects vary for each project/session. You will be able to view the available opportunities for the specified session and locations once you are admitted into the FAMA Internship Program. You must complete an application to be considered for the FAMA Internship Program.
  • When Will I Hear If I am Selected Into the FAMA Internship Program?
    Selections may occur any time after you submit your application. You will be contacted if you are considered for a project.
